Today, a new history is being written in the cultural relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus.
As reported by Day.Az with reference to Trend, Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich told reporters on Tuesday after the official opening of the exhibition “Belarus through the eyes of artists” in Baku.
The exhibition takes place within the framework of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan.
“Within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in Azerbaijan, we have compiled a very vibrant program that reflects our traditions, folklore, and artistic crafts; we are pleased to present them to our respected friends and colleagues from Azerbaijan. I am confident that the cultural program prepared by the creative groups of our country will will appeal to the Azerbaijani audience,” the minister said.
Anatoly Markevich called the visit very significant in terms of the signing of agreements between the leading cultural institutions of the two countries.
“I am confident that when we return home, we will take away not only the warmth of smiles and good mood, but also a whole package of documents that will allow us to further move along the path of developing relations in the field of culture,” he noted.
According to the Minister of Culture of Belarus, in the near future working groups in the field of culture will be formed, all directions will be worked out, and then all the best developments will be included in the projects that will be included in the roadmap for organizing work between the cultural spheres of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
“This will be a long-term program, and every year we will sum up certain results,” said Anatoly Markevich.
Speaking about Azerbaijani culture, he emphasized that it is a culture with a huge history.
“We see how much Azerbaijani groups are in demand on world stages. We are waiting for performers, artists, sculptors who will represent the beautiful country of Azerbaijan, its culture and art here in Belarus,” the minister added.
Let us remind you that the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan take place from the first to the fourth of April. The opening ceremony of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan will take place today, April 2, at 19:00 at the Heydar Aliyev Palace.
As part of the Days of Culture, Days of Belarusian Cinema are held. Films produced at the Belarusfilm film studio are shown at the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku.
