Today, Friday, the golden square competitions of the Premier Basketball League begin with a match between the Al-Karkh team and the champion of the competition for last season, the Al-Naft team.
Al-Karkh coach Bilal Hatem told the (INA): “Yesterday evening, Thursday, his team completed the last preparatory unit ahead of the expected confrontation with Al-Naft, and all its players are fully prepared and there are no injuries.”
He added, “He strengthened his team with the American professional (Rayle Onis), who plays on the point guard site, expecting the newcomer to be a good addition to the rest of his members, as the result of the series indicates a draw in the match.”
For its part, “Al-Naft team, led by its coach Khaled Yahya, looks forward to its players continuing their journey of defending the title and winning, especially as it will give them an advantage in the series of confrontations in the semi-final matches, in which the team must win three matches out of five.”
