Today, Friday, our U-20 youth football team will play its second continental confrontation against its Philippine counterpart, for the second round of the eighth round of the qualifiers for the Asian Youth Cup, which will be held in the Thai city of Buriram. In its first match, Liuthana crushed the Sultanate of Brunei with 15 goals. For nothing, which also includes the Thai national team (the hosts), who also defeated the Philippines by five clean goals in the match that took place between them later.
The correspondent of the (INA) said, “Our youth team went through its recent training sessions on the training fields for the tournament, during which the training staff focused on the tactical matters with which it will play today’s match against the Philippines, as well as the recovery exercises for the players.”
He added, “In their first confrontation, our youth team defeated Brunei by fifteen goals to nothing in a match in which it absolutely dominated the course of the match and controlled its rhythm. It was more like a recreational training unit, as the half ended with Iraq leading by eight goals scored by Mustafa Nawaf.” Three goals, Siddad Haji two goals, Karrar Jaafar two goals, and Amory Faisal one goal, while in the second half he continued his absolute control over the rhythm of the game, scoring seven more goals when he gifted a Brunei defender an own goal by mistake, then Ayman Louay added three goals, and Amory Faisal his goal. It should be noted that the first-place finishers in the ten groups, in addition to the five best second-placed teams, will qualify directly for the Asian Under-20 Finals, with the host team, China, added to them.
