The “appointment” of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the President of Turkey Tayyip Erdogan has been finalized.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, in Washington, on the sidelines of the summit of the leaders of the 32 countries – members of the North Atlantic Alliance, at 23:00 Greek time.

Responding to a related question on the sidelines of a press conference in Ankara, before his departure for the USA, as reported by SKAI, Erdogan stated that “the ‘Republic of Northern Cyprus’ is already a full member of the Turkic states in our eyes.” In this respect, their approach, especially Azerbaijan’s, has reached almost the same position as ours. At the last Susa Summit, as you know, ‘Northern Cyprus’ was there, participated in that Summit”
“Also, we are improving the relations of the ‘president’ of ‘Northern Cyprus’ Mr. Ersin with the heads of these states as much as possible,” added the Turkish president
As reported by SKAI, the Turkish president added: “Now, in the following process, we are trying to bring “Northern Cyprus” to the point of full integration. We are developing this, particularly with the Turkic states, where we have a high level of relations between the Turkic states. Also, we are improving the relations of the ‘president’ of ‘Northern Cyprus’ Mr. Ersin with the heads of these states as much as possible”.
