Baghdad – IA
The matches of the 24th round of the Iraq Stars League for professional football will begin in the stadiums of Baghdad and Basra this Thursday afternoon, with four matches being held.
The police face a new test when they face Al-Naft, and Al-Qaythaar seeks to outperform Al-Naft, in order to strengthen its position and maintain the points difference with its closest competitors. Al-Akhdar realizes that any result other than victory will put his lead under threat, so he is determined to continue his series of victories and his journey towards achieving the third title in the championship. In turn, Al-Naft relies on the high morale following the team’s distinguished performances in its recent matches in order to stop the successes of Al-Qaytar.
In a second match, Al-Jawiya raises the slogan of compensation against Karbala, and Al-Azraq is looking for the three points, and it is self-conscious that the leader stumbles, to reduce the gap with him, and in the rest of today’s matches, Al-Kahraba meets Zakho, Al-Minaa and Newroz.
The round will continue tomorrow, Friday, with a match between Al-Karkh and Al-Zawraa, and Al-Qassim team will host its rival, Dohuk, while Naft Maysan will travel to meet Naft Al-Wasat, with the 24th round concluding the day after tomorrow, Saturday, with two matches, the first bringing together Naft Basra and its counterpart Najaf, while Al-Hodood will be a guest at Amanat Baghdad, while the match between Erbil and Al-Talaba was postponed, due to the joining of most of Al-Aneeq’s members to the ranks of our Olympic team currently participating in the U-23 Asian Cup.
