CHENNAI: ISRO’s GSLV, Mach-3 type LVM3-M2 rocket carrying 36 satellites of UK-based company ‘Oneweb’, today (October 22) midnight. Launched into space.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) designs satellites for research including national security and launches them into space with the help of PSLV – GSLV type rockets.

The company also launches foreign satellites commercially. UK-based OneWeb has designed 36 communication satellites.

Carrying the satellites, ISRO’s GSLV Mach-3 LVM3-M2 rocket will blast off from the Satish Dhawan Space Research Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh at 12:07 AM today.

The 24-hour ‘countdown’ for the rocket launch started yesterday at 12:07 midnight.
