The lawyer Gonzalo Boye, who represents the former president of the Government Carles Puigdemont and the former ministers Clara Ponsatí and Lluís Puig, has expressed after knowing the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in the preliminary rulings on the Euro-orders of his clients: ” Today is a good day”.
“The CJEU sentences are to be read in their entirety,” Boye has published in a tweet collected by Europa Press.
This Tuesday, the CJEU has sided with the Supreme Court (TS) magistrate Pablo Llarena when ruling that the Belgian justice cannot reject the delivery of those accused by the 1-O claimed to be tried in Spain based on the risk that their fundamental rights are violated if they do not demonstrate systemic and widespread deficiencies in Spain, nor can they question the powers of the Supreme Court as the authority to issue such Euro-orders.
