jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The final round of the 2024 National English Speech Contest for high school students will be held on Sunday, August 11, as part of the LIKE-2 Festival at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Jakarta.

LIKE is an abbreviation for Environment, Climate, Forestry, EBT Energy.

The LIKE-2 Festival was held by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) on 8-11 August 2024.

On the second day of the Like-2 Festival, Friday (9/8), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was present to hand over the Decree (SK) for Social Forestry covering an area of ​​1.07 million hectares, and Agrarian Reform Objective Land (TORA) covering an area of ​​43 thousand hectares.

President Jokowi also handed over the decree for people’s oil palm land, as well as environmental fund service certificates for the community.

Several ministers accompanied President Jokowi, including Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) who is also the Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.

In addition to the English Speech Competition, on the last day of the LIKE-2 Festival, the final round of the Indonesian Language Debate Competition for High School Level and the final round of the English Language Debate Competition for College Students will also be held.

Various environmental-themed competitions were held to commemorate World Environment Day 2024 and the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
