In today’s trade, the BSE Sensex closed down 215.26 points at 60,906.09 and the NSE Nifty closed down 62.55 points at 18,082.85.
Adani Port and Special, Apollo Hospitals, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, Britannia, Cipla, Grasim Industries, HCLTech, HDFC Life Insurance, Infosys and others saw declines in the national stock market.
On the other hand, corporate stocks like Adani Enterprises, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, PPCL and Coal India saw gains.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, corporate stocks including Dr. Reddy’s Lab, HDFC, ITC were gainers while Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance and HCL Tech were losers.
Airtel is in steep decline
Bharti Airtel fell as much as 3 percent on the Mumbai and national bourses. On the other hand, shares of Sun Pharma and ITC were trading in gains.
