The matches of the round of 16 of the European Football Championship continue this evening, Tuesday, in Germany, where two matches will be held, the first between Romania and the Netherlands at seven o’clock in the evening, followed by the match between Austria and Turkey at ten o’clock in the evening.
The winner of the Romania-Netherlands match will meet the winner of the Austria-Turkey match in the quarter-finals.
The Netherlands national team qualified for the round of 16 of Euro 2024 after finishing third in Group 4, and qualifying among the best third-placed teams, while the Romanian national team secured its qualification after coming in first in Group 5 with 4 points.
Austria qualified for the round of 16 after topping Group 4 with 6 points, while Turkey advanced as runner-up in Group 6 with 6 points.
It is noteworthy that 16 teams qualified from the group stage of the European Nations Cup to the round of 16, namely Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, England, Denmark, Slovenia, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Romania, Belgium, Slovakia, Portugal, Turkey and Georgia.
The round of 16 will be held in a knockout system, as well as the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and the final match is scheduled to be held on July 14.
