Today, Friday, the Iraqi Professional Football League for the 2024-2025 season kicks off, with two matches taking place, the first between Erbil and Diyala, followed by the match between Dohuk and Al-Zawraa at Dohuk Stadium.
The correspondent of the (INA) stated that “the Erbil team will host the new entrant to the Premier League, the Diyala team, at 5:30 pm at the Franso Hariri Stadium in the first match of the new season.”
He added, “Dohuk Stadium will witness the opening ceremony for the start of the Stars League competitions, followed by a match between the home team, Dohuk, and its counterpart, Al-Zawraa, at 8:30 pm.”
It is noteworthy that the Erbil team finished last season in fourteenth place with (41) points, while the Al-Zawraa team came in third place with (75) points, while the Dohuk team came in sixth place with (58) points.
