The West Asian Youth Under-18 Basketball Championship will kick off at 5:00 pm today, Thursday, at the People’s Hall for Sports in Baghdad, with the participation of six teams: Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Yemen.

The teams were divided into two groups, the first included the teams of Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, while the second group included our youth team, Yemen and Iran.

The opening match will witness a strong confrontation between the Iraqi youth team and its Iranian counterpart at six o’clock in the evening, followed at eight o’clock by a match between the Lebanese and Palestinian teams. On Friday, two matches will be held, the first between the Iraqi and Yemeni teams at six o’clock in the evening, followed by a match between Palestine and Jordan at eight o’clock in the evening. On Saturday, the match between the Iranian and Yemeni teams will be held at six o’clock in the evening, followed at eight o’clock by a match between the Jordanian and Lebanese teams.

The tournament matches will be completed next Sunday, July 14, and will be played in a cross-match format, with the first team in the group playing… A With the second group B At six o’clock in the afternoon, and in the same way, the first of the group will face off.
