Today, Tuesday, two important matches will be held in the provinces of Baghdad and Najaf, as part of the first leg of the semi-finals of the professional futsal tournament. The first match will bring together Al-Mawarid Al-Ma’a and Naft Al-Basra, while Naft Al-Wasat will host its counterpart Al-Shorta.
The correspondent of the (INA) stated that “the first meeting is expected to witness competition and excitement in its technical aspects, which takes place in the Army Hall, as the champion of the competition, the Basra Oil team coming from the south, led by coach Abbas Fadhel, seeks to continue its journey to defend the title, when it lands in the capital, Baghdad, to meet the Water Resources, relying on the elements of experience it possesses in order to achieve a positive result through which it will cut half the way to qualification.”
He added that “the technical director of the Water Resources team, Yasser Hamid, who made his first appearance, aims to prove his right to be crowned last season with the Best Tactical Coach Award, and to present the best high levels with positive results in the Professional League in order to achieve a victory that will bring him closer to qualifying for the final match.”
He explained that “the second match, which is hosted by the Solidarity Hall in Najaf Al-Ashraf, is where the Naft Al-Wasat team aspires to regain its glory after being one of the previous champions of the competition by hosting its counterpart, Al-Shorta, in a match no less important than the first, and it aspires to benefit from the home field and the audience and employ them in the match and achieve a full score, and the same can be said about Al-Qithara, which is also required to present a distinguished performance and record the victory that will ensure it moves forward in the final round.”
