A highly anticipated European tour has been announced by the critically acclaimed Japanese instrumental rock band, toe, set to kick off in April 2026. The tour, titled “UK & EUROPE TOUR 2026 ‘LONELINESS WILL SHINE’ – 25TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE -,” celebrates the band’s 25 years of musical innovation and follows a period of significant momentum for the group.
Celebrating a Quarter Century of Sound
This year marks a significant milestone for toe as they commemorate their 25th anniversary with a series of events and releases. The band recently concluded a successful tour across nine cities in Japan and Asia, with all performances selling out, demonstrating a strong and dedicated fanbase.
According to a company release, toe also digitally released “(AND) NOW I SEE THE LIGHT,” a collaboration with Montreal-based singer-songwriter Jonah Yano. This release further showcased the band’s versatility and willingness to explore new sonic territories. Their first appearance on the popular Japanese music platform “THE FIRST TAKE” generated considerable buzz both domestically and internationally, reaffirming their musical prowess.
Sold-Out Anniversary Show Sets the Stage
The band’s celebratory momentum culminated in a special 25th-anniversary performance on October 25, 2025, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. The event, titled “Toe 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE 25th Anniversary Special Performance ‘For You, Someone Like Me’ ‘Given to someone who looks like me somewhere in this world,’” was a resounding success, selling out the iconic venue.
Expanding Horizons: The 2026 EU Tour
Building on this success, toe will embark on a large-scale EU tour in April 2026, encompassing eight performances across eight cities. The tour will begin on April 10th in Bristol, UK, at The Prospect Building and conclude on April 20th in Cologne, Germany, at Hole44.
