Tom Brady Out: Tampa Bay eliminated from the NFL

by time news

Biggest of all – outdoors: Tampa Bay Buckniers, Tom Brady’s team, was eliminated tonight (Sunday to Monday) from the American Football League (NFL), after a 30:27 loss in the NFC semifinals to the Los Angeles Rams. The reigning champion has finished her way in the league this season, and will not be able to defend her title in the Super Bowl. The Rams, for their part, qualified for the semifinals, where they will meet the Forty Niners from San Francisco.

It came after a tremendous drama, in which Tampa Bay had already come back from a 27: 3 deficit to a 27:27 tie 45 seconds to go, but a Rams field goal, four seconds to go – gave the Rams the ticket to the semifinals.

The Rams dominated the game from the start, and already at the end of the first quarter they led 3:10 after a field goal by Matt Gay and a touchdown by Kendall Blanton (with another Gay point afterwards). Also in the second quarter Los Angeles ran away with another Cooper Cup touchdown, leading 3:23 at the half.

The gap widened, with Matthew Stafford also honored with his own touchdown – and in fact secured the gap in favor of the Rams. But towards the end, signs of a comeback began: Tampa Bay returned with a touchdown by Ryan Sokop, who reduced the difference to 27:13.

Another Mike Evans touchdown reduced the lead to 27:20, and 45 seconds to go Sokop emerged with another touchdown – equalizing 27:27, an inconceivable comeback. But four seconds to go, Matt Gay’s field goal set a 27:30 lead for Los Angeles, and a dramatic win.
