(Web Desk) In the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, the renowned Hollywood actor Tom Cruise made the ceremony unforgettable by performing several daring stunts from the movie “Mission Impossible“.
The highlight of the closing ceremony arrived when speeches concluded and American R&B singer Gabriela Sarmiento Wilson performed the American national anthem on guitar, followed by Tom Cruise in his signature style. After descending from the roof of the Stade de France stadium, Tom Cruise was greeted by a cheering crowd eager for selfies. He then received the Olympic flag after shaking hands with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The 62-year-old actor then rode out of the stadium on a motorcycle, waving the flag while wearing his famous leather jacket.
The ceremony also featured a pre-recorded video showcasing Tom Cruise’s journey through iconic Paris landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, and his arrival at an airport. The video also depicted him diving and landing in the United States before carrying the flag to the renowned Hollywood Sign adorned with Olympic colors, which he then passed to American cyclist Kate Courtney.
Tom Cruise himself shared a rooftop selfie on Twitter with the caption, “Thanks, Paris! Now off to Los Angeles.”
Following Tom Cruise’s performance, other notable acts took the stage, with famous Californian stars also showcasing their talents. The Red Hot Chili Peppers concluded the ceremony with their renowned song “Can’t Stop.”
