Tom Cruise’s valuable luggage away: thieves steal his bodyguard’s BMW – people

by time news

Mission … went stupid.

Tom Cruise (59) is currently filming the seventh part of the action series “Mission Impossible” in Birmingham, Great Britain. To get from A to B there quickly, he has a chauffeur who is also his bodyguard. In a luxury BMW (worth more than 100,000 euros, top speed of 250 km / h) he drives the megastar through the area. But as fast as the car is, it was suddenly stolen as quickly …

When Cruise had only gone to his hotel for a few minutes, thieves grabbed the car and ran away with luggage worth several thousand euros! This is reported by the British “Sun”.

This is how the crooks cheated: The car had a wireless car key. Apparently the thieves intercepted the key’s signal and copied it onto another key, which they then used to open and start the engine. Refined!

Since the car was equipped with a tracking system, the police were able to find it again quickly. The luggage, however, was gone – and so were the thieves.

And what about Tom Cruise’s security guard at the time? He didn’t notice anything. An insider on „Sun“: “It’s extremely embarrassing for the security team and the guy, the chauffeur, was totally beside himself – but not as angry as Tom!” Tom Cruise was “mad as hell”.

Was the bodyguard too reckless? On the day of the theft, the car was reportedly not in a hotel-recommended secure parking area nearby. It was parked on the side of the road.

The banal thing: there was a police station just two minutes away. But NONE noticed anything.

A police spokeswoman: “We are now investigating the material from the surveillance cameras in the area. The investigation is ongoing. “

However, Tom Cruise is not urgently dependent on his car. He is regularly flown from his villa in Kent to the film set in a helicopter – and a new BMW has already been made available to the megastar.

One thing is certain, however: he will probably not forget shooting his latest blockbuster anytime soon. First the shooting had to be postponed because of Corona, then they had to pause three times because of Covid cases and now his luggage has also been stolen.

The question is, what is more “Mission Impossible”: to shoot the film or the film at all?
