Ortega’s 13-year career, spanning from 2013 until 2026, left an indelible mark on the world of dubbing and acting. He collaborated with numerous studios, becoming a familiar voice to audiences across Latin America.
A Voice for a Generation of Spider-Man Fans
Ortega achieved widespread recognition as the voice of Peter Parker / Spider-Man within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He voiced the character from Captain America: Civil War through Avengers: Infinity War, and also contributed to several Marvel animated projects. His portrayal resonated with fans, who lauded his ability to capture the essence of the character.
“It’s very cool to tell a story that so many people are fans of,” Ortega shared in a YouTube interview regarding his work on the Marvel franchise. “The world of Marvel changed the way superhero movies are made… It’s a great job trying to give humanity to the character and do the original actors a favor.”
He initially auditioned for the role of Black Panther, but was ultimately selected to voice Spider-Man, a role he continued for multiple films. Following Avengers: Infinity War, Alberto Bernal took over the role for the blockbuster Spider-Man: No way Home.
Beyond the Mask: A Versatile Performer
Ortega’s talent extended beyond the superhero realm. He lent his voice to Tadashi Hamada in the animated film Big Hero 6 and reprised the role for the television series Big Heroes: The series. his voice work also included characters in Cars 3, Revenge, MrBeast Gaming, and Marvel: Agents of SHIELD.
He also transitioned into on-screen acting,appearing in the internationally recognized Mexican series Luis Miguel: The Series,where he played Jorge ‘Burro’ Van Rankin,and The House of Flowers as Federico “DJ freddy” Limantour.
