Puducherry: Vegetable prices have touched a record high due to declining supply. Tomatoes are once again selling at Rs 100 per kg.

Tomatoes were sold for up to Rs 150 per kg. Later it was sold for Rs 40 per kg due to low rainfall. However, prices have gone up due to low supply of vegetables. Tomatoes were sold at Rs 100 per kg at the Puducherry big market yesterday.

Onions, 35-40 rupees, Potatoes – 40, Beans – 90, Carrots – 90, Eggs – 100-160 rupees. – Sold for 50 rupees. The public is suffering due to the continuous increase in the price of vegetables. Vegetable prices are not likely to go down for another 20 days.
