Tomorrow by Together topped the Oricon chart again with the single released in July.
According to the latest chart (as of September 26) released by Japan’s Oricon on the 27th, the Japanese single ‘Chikai’ (誓い/Chikai) by Tomorrow It ranked first in the ‘Daily Single Ranking’ with 4,006 copies.
‘Chikai’ is a single released on July 3, and this achievement was largely due to the influx of new fandom due to the Japanese tour and member Yeonjun’s solo activities.
Tomorrow by Together successfully concluded their ‘Act: Promise’ Japanese concert with the Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka performance on the 14th and 15th. This performance is the four major dome tours in Japan held in the shortest period since the debut of a Korean singer. Encore performances in Japan will be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka on November 30 and December 1.
Yeonjun released his solo mixtape ‘GGUM’ on the 19th and captured the hearts of Japanese music fans by showing excellent performance skills. ‘Gum’ topped Japan’s iTunes ‘Top Song’ and Line Music’s real-time song charts, and its music video ranked second on YouTube’s trending music videos. This song ranked 7th in the ‘Weekly Digital Single Ranking’ (as of September 30), following the 1st place in Oricon’s ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’. It was the only Korean song on the weekly rankings.
In addition, Tomorrow by Together’s first VR concert tour ‘HYPERFOCUS: TOMORROW It is shown in theaters. Tomorrow by Together’s ‘Hyper Focus’ is the largest VR concert in the country in terms of annual screening days and number of seats.
Meanwhile, ‘Chikai’ sold 358,845 copies in the first week of release, setting the highest weekly sales among singles released in Japan this year by an overseas artist, and this record still stands today. As of last July, this album shipped over 500,000 copies and received a gold disc ‘double platinum’ certification.
