Even though the heavy rains have subsided in many districts of Kerala, the Meteorological Center has issued a warning that vigilance should continue. There is also a slight concern that the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal will intensify in the next 48 hours. As a result of its impact, the Meteorological Center has estimated that it will rain in North Kerala. The district collector has informed that tomorrow (Monday) will be a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Wayanad district.

Educational institutions of Pathanamthitta district, which are functioning as relief camps in connection with the monsoon crisis, will have a holiday tomorrow. Pathanamthitta District Disaster Management Authority Chairperson and District Collector Dr. Divya S Iyer announced the holiday.

In Ernakulam district too, educational institutes working as relief camps will have a holiday tomorrow, the District Collector has informed.

In Idukki, there will be a holiday for education in Devikulam and Pirumedu taluks and Bisonvalley and Chinnakanal panchayats in Udumbanchola taluk. Schools operating as relief camps in the district are also closed. The District Collector informed that the holiday is also applicable to the professional colleges in the above mentioned places.

The District Collector has announced a holiday for schools functioning as relief camps in Thrissur district tomorrow.

In Alappuzha district, all educational institutions including professional colleges and Anganwadis in Kuttanad taluk and educational institutions running relief camps in other taluks, District Collector V.R. Krishna Teja declared a holiday.
