The General Secretariat of the Arab League announced today, Wednesday, that an emergency meeting of the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates will be held tomorrow, Thursday, to discuss ways to combat the crimes of genocide and Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people .

The Secretariat said in a statement obtained by the (INA): “It was decided to hold an emergency meeting of the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates, under the leadership of Mauritania, tomorrow, Thursday, at the request of the State of Palestine to discuss on ways to combat the crimes of genocide, the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, and settlement expansion.”
The Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, said according to the statement, “This emergency meeting was agreed to be held tomorrow (Thursday) following consultations that took place between the General Secretariat of the Arab League, the Islamic Republic of Maratáin, current president of the League Council session, and the State of Palestine, who made the request; Several Arab countries supported it, and accordingly it was agreed to hold the meeting tomorrow.”
He added, “The request of Palestine to hold the meeting came in view of the fact that the crime of genocide by the Zionist entity, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people has continued for a period of about 9 continuous months and in view of the occupation of the government. the recent approval of a series of aggressive sanctions against the State of Palestine aimed at preventing the embodiment of its independence on Earth and additional plans to annex the occupied West Bank, as well as settle colonial expansion, the basis of powers of the Palestinian government, pirating its funds, and imposing sanctions on Palestinian officials, including a ban on deportation and travel.
