jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Indonesian National Team Indonesia vs Australia will compete in the Group C match of the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian zone at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/9).
The match will be the second match for both teams in the qualifiers.
In the first match, Indonesia held the host Saudi Arabia to a 1-1 draw and Australia was defeated by the visiting team Bahrain with a score of 0-1.
Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae Yong confirmed that the Garuda squad is confident in facing the Australian National Team, even though the difference in quality between the two teams is quite wide.
He said that currently Australia is ranked 24th by FIFA, while Indonesia is ranked 133rd.
“So, tomorrow’s match will not be easy, but we are a team that never gives up,” said Shin Tae Yong in a pre-match press conference at SUGBK, Jakarta, Monday (9/9).
Shin said that the physical condition of his players continued to improve after holding Saudi Arabia to a 1-1 draw in the first match of Group C in Jeddah, Friday (6/9) early morning WIB.
Not only physically, Shin also mentioned the performance of the Ragnar Oratmangoen competition and his friends improved because they were trained in the competition versus Saudi Arabia.
“The match against Saudi Arabia was also difficult for us. However, with hard work, we were able to get points,” said the South Korean tactician.
Shin said the match between the Indonesian National Team and Australia was not easy. However, he emphasized that the Indonesian National Team would not give up.
