The summons to Tonka Tomicic comes in the context of the numerous chats involving Luis Hermosilla and Leonarda Villalobos, where the latter allegedly bribed officials from the SII and Treasury to obtain information about the TV figure.
Animator Tonka Tomicic will arrive this Monday, September 9, at the Public Ministry to testify in the so-called Audios Case.
According to CNN Chile, although the model was initially summoned as a witness, she was asked to attend with her lawyer in case her legal situation is modified.
The summons to Tonka Tomicic comes within the framework of the numerous chats involving Luis Hermosilla and Leonarda Villalobos, where the latter allegedly bribed Patricio Mejías, an official of the Tax Service, to obtain information about a company owned by the TV personality.
The prosecutor Miguel Angel Orellana reported at the hearing of formal charges against the main people involved in the Audios case, where they face the crime of bribery among others, that Hermosilla writes to Villalobos about “TT”, the initials of Tonka Tomicic. In response to this, the lawyer replied that she sent “Diamond’s SII key (…) Great! I already gave it to him.”
For the Public Prosecutor’s Office, this conversation “unequivocally implies the knowledge of both parties that Diamond’s RUT is being given to a third party.”
But also, Leonarda Villalobos paid a total of 1.5 million pesos to Renato Robles, an official of the General Treasury of the Republic, who indicated in his testimony that “I remember that the last action I took for María Leonarda Villalobos was to obtain a payment notice corresponding to Tonka Tomicic (…) It caused me to be warned by the ‘treasurer’ named Ricardo Puentes, since reviewing public figures generates alerts in the TGR systems.”
