Too few viewers: ProSieben cancels “Superduper Show”

by time news

After the first episode, it was already over. But the three recordings that were not shown will not disappear completely.

ProSieben has canceled its new format “The Superduper Show” after just one episode. “The Superduper Show unfortunately didn’t find its audience on Tuesday evening. That’s why we’re taking the show off the program,” said a ProSieben spokesman in Unterföhring. The media service dwdl.de had previously reported.

However, the three recordings that were not shown will not disappear completely. “We still believe (…) in the potential of the show and will bring it back in 2025 in a time slot that makes it easier for families with children to watch.” The opening show on Tuesday only achieved a 5.7 percent market share in the advertising-relevant target group of 14 to 49-year-olds.

In “The Superduper Show” five different show ideas are presented on one evening and they compete against each other. All of these ideas were created by selected children. A TV star then has to implement them as perfectly as possible. The helpers and guinea pigs were Annette Frier, Edin Hasanović, Wigald Boning and Bill and Tom Kaulitz. The presenter was Katrin Bauerfeind.
