(ANSA) – POMIGLIANO D’ARCO (NAPLES), JULY 10 – Protest in the plastics department of the Stellantis plant in Pomigliano d’Arco, where some workers crossed their arms for about two hours due to the microclimate conditions which, according to the blue overalls, would have been prohibitive. This was announced by the automotive manager for the Fiom of Naples, Mario Di Costanzo, who recalls that in the last meeting held in Turin with the company’s top management, “the CEO, Carlos Tavares, had announced that there would be no spending cap to guarantee the safety of the workers”. “Inside the workshops of the plastics department – adds Di Costanzo – the climate has become prohibitive, and the stifling heat prevented any activity, so we wonder if there is responsibility on the part of some supervisor who makes the workers work in those conditions despite Tavares’ words on the safety and health of the workers, who can always count on the support of our delegates”. The protest in the plastics department had no impact on production in other departments of the plant. (ANSA).
