Companies are releasing monthly car sales data. Here are the top 10 best selling cars in September:
Baleno: Last month, 19,369 Maruti Suzuki Baleno cars were sold. Only 8,077 cars were sold in September last year. Compared to this, sales have increased by 140 percent.
Hyundai Creta: The Creta has a prominent place among mid-size SUVs. 12,866 Creta cars were sold last month. It sold only 8,193 cars in September last year. Compared to this, sales rose by 57 percent.
Suzuki Swift: Swift is the best selling hatchback car in India. 11,988 Swift cars were sold last month. 2,520 cars were sold in the same month last year. Compared to this, sales rose by 375.7%.
Alto: Maruti Suzuki has reported sales of 24,844 Alto cars last month. This is 105 percent higher than the same month last year. In September last year, 12,143 cars were sold.
Pressa: Last month, 15,445 Maruti Suzuki Brazza cars were sold. Last year only 1,874 cars were sold. Due to this, this car has received a lot of acceptance among the customers in the last month.
Maruti Suzuki Eco: Maruti Suzuki’s Eco cars, 12,697 were sold. Over 10,000 units of these cars have been sold in the last few months. 7,844 cars were sold in September last year. Sales rose 61.8%.
Wagon R: Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R sold 20,078 units last month. 7,632 cars were sold in the same month last year. Compared to this, sales have increased by 163 percent.
Tata Nexon: Tata Motors sold 14,518 Nexons last month. Available in two engine variants and automatic and manual gear boxes. Nexon is the most popular car among Tata cars.
Tata Punch: It is the 2nd best selling car manufactured by Tata Motors. Last month, 12,251 Tata Punch cars were sold.
Hyundai Venu: 11,033 Venu cars were sold in the last month. 7,924 cars were sold in September last year. Compared to this, sales rose by 39.2 percent.
