The schedule for the 2023-2024 season of the Top 14, particularly shaken up by the World Cup in France, was unveiled on Wednesday. The first day has been set for the weekend of August 19. Stade Français will start their campaign in Perpignan, while Racing 92 will host Union Bordeaux-Bègles.
The World Cup, which begins on September 8 and ends on October 28, forced organizers to take a break after the third day of the championship. Between September 3 and October 29, the Top 14 will therefore be suspended. A day is still scheduled the day after the final, during which Racing 92 will face Montpellier and Stade Français will meet Aviron Bayonnais.
The supporters of the two Ile-de-France clubs will have to wait until Saturday November 18 to have the first derby. It is the men in pink who will receive. The return match will take place on February 24.
Boxing Day, December 30, will offer the biggest show of the championship between Stade Rochelais and Stade Toulousain. The final two Top 14 finalists will meet again in the penultimate encounter on June 1.
As often, the last day could prove decisive for accession to the play-offs. Racing 92 would do better to secure its place in the top six before this 26th meeting, scheduled for June 8, since the Racingmen will go to Stade Rochelais. The Stade Français will have a more affordable last match with the reception of Toulon.
The final phases will take place between June 14 and 29, the day of the final at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille.
