Many people suffer from daytime drowsiness, especially with the onset of autumn, and this feeling gradually increases day after day. Dr. Sergey Agapkin, a rehabilitation specialist, points out that the decrease in daylight hours, air temperature, exacerbation of chronic diseases, changes in diet and stress all cause drowsiness in the fall. However, when a person knows the reasons for feeling sleepy during the day, he can find a source of alertness. He suggests several ways to get rid of fatigue:

- Bright lighting: Bright light helps avoid lethargy and sleep, and stay alert during days when daylight hours are short.
- Take a warm shower, because warm water during the low temperature season gives a feeling of activity.
- Attention should be paid to treating chronic diseases and practicing breathing exercises that are beneficial for the lungs. You can also gargle with a saline solution.
- Eat foods rich in vitamins.
- Exercise regularly, as physical activity helps overcome stress.
