The 6th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival organized by the Toronto Film Forum has been officially announced at the ‘Meet the Press’ event at the ‘Multicultural Film Screening Center’ at 3000 Danforth Avenue in Toronto, Canada.

The four-day film festival will be held from September 18 to September 21 at the Cineplex Oden and Multicultural Film Screening Center at 22 Levick Avenue in Scarborough.

After its launch in 2014, the Toronto Film Forum opened a new horizon for film screenings, filmmaking and discussion among Bangladeshi diaspora in Toronto. In 2017, to mark Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Toronto Film Forum organized the 1st Multicultural Film Festival of that year.

In that continuity every year Toronto Film Forum has been organizing the film festival. It was only in 2020 that the Toronto Film Forum was unable to organize a film festival during the coronavirus crisis.

As many as 40 documentaries and short and full-length feature films from around 20 cultures are expected to be screened this year. Along with this, several producers and actors of the films will be present during the festival, who have already caught the attention of Sudheejan for their style of filmmaking and acting in the country and abroad.

Monis Rafiq, General Secretary of Toronto Film Forum and Coordinator of the 6th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival 2023, presented a written statement at the press conference.
