Caught dismantling the engine of a boat, three young people were reported and fined in Torre del Greco. Agents from the local police station and men from the Coast Guard they identified the three in the waters adjacent to the Cavaliere area, sailing towards the port: they then stopped them on the beach downstream from via XX Settembre, while they were busy carrying out rescue operations dismantling of an engine installed on board a vessel result without identification plate.
INSIGHTS
The young people were taken to the police station. The vessel, the engine and the other equipment used were seized. The three were also fined administratively for driving without a boat licensewithout insurance and ship’s documents, for a total of approximately 4000 euros.
From a criminal point of view they were reported for recycling in competition. One of them is a repeat offender: in fact, he had already been stopped during previous activities to combat thefts of dinghies, boats and engines.
The kidnapping
Finally, the Police and the Coast Guard, this time with the help of the municipal police, have identified a private area used for storage of vessels. Following the investigations, the area was placed under seizure and the owner was reported for unauthorized waste management.
