[Torthaí cluiche]10/23 (Wednesday) Resona Group B.LEEAGUE 2024-25 B1 Division 4 League Match Nagoya D 72-98 Sanen

It was a good game because they implemented their game plan well on the court.

Q: The opponent’s three-point success rate was kept at the 10% level, but how would you rate the defensive performance?
A: In the first half, there was a bit of miscommunication in our ability to execute, but in the second half we were able to communicate well.
I think we were able to stop shots we didn’t want to take.

Q: On the offensive side, you scored a lot of 3-pointers in the first quarter, and continued to put up double-digit points after that.
A: We were able to respond well with our changing defense.
I think we were able to play our part as a team because there weren’t many situations where we had to fight individually.
Players on the court clearly understand what they need to do for their teammates, do spacing, screens, rolls, etc., and share with everyone how they can demonstrate their desired contribution and strong points I was able to complete.

Following on from the previous game, we were able to start well in the first quarter, and our shooting and defense were also able to perform well.
As a team, no matter what the score difference is, the things we do remain, such as the intensity of our defense, so I think we continue to do what led to our results.

Q: You made four threes today, including three straight in the first half. How about looking back at yourself?
A: I hit it because I thought it was my time.
I don’t think it would be me if I didn’t hit there, so I’ll keep hitting my potential.

Q: Please share your enthusiasm for the next game against Ibaraki at home.
A: No matter what opponent we play, we will do the same thing: execute our defense and rebounding to the end, connect with our signature offense early, and keep up our speed to make baskets that is typical of Phoenix.
