Pathanamthitta: Her husband and family have been arrested in connection with the murder of Sharimol, 30, in Thiruvalla Maypral. The woman’s brother’s wife is also a defendant in the case. The woman had eaten after her husband’s family went to her house following a dowry dispute.
CS Sharimol, a resident of Maypral, Thiruvalla, was arrested in a case of poisoning. On March 30, 2021, her husband’s family came to Sharimol’s house and caused poisoning. Shari died the next day. The complaint alleges that her husband and family mentally abused her by demanding a fixed deposit in Sharimol’s name.
Her husband Krishnadas, brother Jishnudas and parents Mayadas and Gurudas were arrested. All four were released on bail as the court had granted them anticipatory bail. The case is for dowry torture and suicide incitement.
