Toulouse more than ever leader, Clermont is reborn from its ashes and Le LOU is sinking… The point in the ranking of the 5th day of TOP 14.
This day was marked by the big success of Toulouse in Montpellier (17-19), the card of Clermont inflicted on LOU (43-20) or the defeat of Racing in La Rochelle (24-19).
This fifth day of TOP 14 began with the victory of Bordeaux Bègles at home against Stade Français (15-10). A success which allows the Bordeaux people to bounce back to seventh place but which plunges the stadistes to tenth place. Note the flawless performance of Matthieu Jalibert against the poles (5 out of 5).
In the 5 p.m. multiplex, Clermont continues and achieves a good fourth place in the championship by devouring the LOU (43-20), now at the gates of the red zone. A great victory which also goes through the XXL performances of Alivereti Raka, author of a hat-trick. La Rochelle, second, keeps the pressure on Stade Toulousain after its great victory against Racing 92 (24-19). This day ended with this clash between Montpellier and Toulouse. A meeting which turned to the advantage of Toulouse (17-19), the only leaders with 18 points.
