YOU HAVE Toulouse, we know how to live. To lighten the weight of the beginning of the school year and give us the illusion that summer is not over, the Piano aux Jacobins festival takes place in September. For forty-five years, Catherine d’Argoubet and Paul-Arnaud Péjouan have brought, sometimes from far away, pianists who are not heard elsewhere and who are their favorites. Some players may multiply their appeals to be called, but nothing happens. We know how to live, yes, but first and foremost we are the master of our own house. Oh but!

The concerts take place in the Jacobins convent, a monument of medieval art, which contains the relics of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The piano is installed in the chapter house where the Dominican members do earthly affairs, and everyone indulges in heavenly pleasure…
