After his terrible failure on Wednesday in the Col de la Loze, Tadej Pogacar, 2nd for the 2nd year in a row behind Jonas Vingegaard, finished this Tour de France well. Winner of the 20th stage on Saturday, he showed panache by attacking 49 km from the finish on the Champs Elysées.

Before the stage, he had posted a message of appreciation and thanks on Instagram, with the photo of his victory at Markstein.

“Looking at the photos, I tell myself that the party was a little too big, he begins But I’m not going to lie, the last few days have been difficult for me. This victory (Saturday) brought me a lot of happiness and I really speak from the bottom of my heart… a big thank you to everyone who supported me through the ups and downs. From the lady who was screaming at the top of the Col de la Loze, to Marc for pushing me to the finish (…) To the whole team and the people who work behind the scenes, early in the morning and late at night… This time, I’m talking to them. It’s getting long, but I can’t forget my family and my girlfriend who supported me in France and who are always by my side. I know I don’t always make it easy for you and you have to carry a lot on your shoulders, but be glad I’m not a pure sprinter… that would be even more stressful to watch. THANKS. »
