Crushing winner of the time trial, Jonas Vingegaard still dominates the general classification but has offered himself a significant advantage in view of the last five stages, with in particular the one leading to the Col de la Loze on Wednesday. Tadej Pogacar, second in time, is still his runner-up but is 1′48″ behind. Adam Yates, 7th on Tuesday, took advantage of Carlos Rodriguez’s poor result to take his place on the podium. But he is still 8′52″ from the yellow jersey, a sign of the extreme domination of the two ogres.

David Gaudu, tenth in this time trial, consolidates his place in the top 10, now being 9th, 17′38″ from the leader. Guillaume Martin, 11th, and Thibaut Pinot, 13th, complete the French podium.

No change in the mountain classification and in the points classification. Polka dot jersey Giulio Ciccone, who focused solely on the ascent of the Côte de Domancy, widened the gap with Neilson Powless. He is now five points ahead of the American. Jasper Philipsen, green jersey, is still well ahead and should not worry too much about his tunic.
