Something very normal in this country, where everyone wants to refound from scratch and monopolize history by erasing their predecessors.

A government that has failed so irresponsibly, it is unheard of that they embark the next president, with a brand that does not represent Ecuador, so it will not be used by the tourism sector and constitutes a loss of money of about 800,000 USD.

If there is a little discretion, the correct thing is to wait for the new government to be installed and for the new officials, in coordination with the Tourism Business Sector, to endorse the new visual proposals, which should be part of a new country strategy, against to a world that until now only knows us for the Galapagos Island and the corruption of politicians.

Tourism has been the sector least served by this government and it is the one where resources are squeezed to the last. The useless regulation of tourist home rental platforms remains in vain. The seized channels continue to produce garbage and do not broadcast the country’s attractions. Illegal hotels are a refuge and accomplice to crime. There is no safety on the roads. But there is a campaign for a new country brand that, given this, should be a face with a black mask over its eyes and a dagger in its hand.
