LIVES. The difficult period of Covid is over, little by little also in Laives tourism sector starts to march again with positive data. They were illustrated on the occasion of a recent meeting among operators in the sector who refer to theTourist association of Laives, Bronzolo and Vadenadata which however has not yet reached the boom recorded in the year 2019.
As regards overnight stays in accommodation facilities, overall, between Laives, Bronzolo and Vadena, last year they were 281.961divided as follows: Laives 239.837; Bronzolo 7.056 and Vadena 35.068. In this regard, it should be kept in mind that as far as Vadena is concerned, the accommodation facilities along the east side of Lake Caldaro (Klughammer-Campi al Lago area) which falls within the municipal territory of Vadena are also included.
In terms of overnight stays, the best year was 2019with a total of 292.468overnight stays dropped the following year, when the pandemic began (the 2020) a 151.945To then go back a little at a time to 224.192 (In the 2021) e 281.626 In the 2022. Overall these are interesting figures, which photograph a healthy sector, although Laives cannot boast the attractiveness of, for example, that of Val Gardena or the Burgraviato. However, in favor of the Laives area, the proximity to Bolzano, the prices and the initiatives that take place in the capital play an important role: from the Christmas market to various fairs, up to sporting events, all occasions which attract many guests also in the surrounding area of the capital city and in this sense, Laives can play an important role with its offer which in recent years has been increased and brought up to speed with the best in the province.
This also applies to the surrounding area, because Liaves is in a central position with respect to the provincial territory, well served by public connections and a network of cycle paths which is much appreciated by tourists arriving from the German area. By bicycle (now also electric) from Laives you can reach Lake Caldaro without great effort, as well as the Oltradige and Lake Monticolo and the city of Bolzano itself. B.C.
