Sleeping in the middle of the forest in glass domes, with a Nordic bath, massage and birdsong when you wake up… Do you dream of it? Three young Parisians did it! After leaving everything in Paris, Alice, Sophie and Loïc imagined these unusual habitats to offer them to tourists looking for a “unique experience” and chlorophyll.
The Bois de Luna has just been inaugurated in Cunlhat (Puy-de-Dôme), in the Livradois-Forez park, a territory far from the usual tourist spots. “When we visited, we immediately fell in love with this place. Here we are in paradise! enthused the three partners who invested the tidy sum of 350,000 euros.
Far from mass tourism or overcrowded shores, Livradois-Forez has 34 inhabitants per km² and unspoiled nature. And the formula pleases. Opened in January, the two domes have a 70% occupancy rate. Better ! They have already entered the national press rankings among the 100 most beautiful accommodations in France.
Something to delight local tourism players, who must increasingly compete in imagination to win over new visitors. “It’s proof that there is a place for a different kind of tourism, off the beaten track, in communion with nature. We really have a card to play,” rejoices Benoît Barrès, director of the Maison du tourisme du Livradois-Forez.
As for the entrepreneurs, they are already considering a new offer for next year and still promise “a very original project”.
