Tourists have begun to more often choose expensive holidays in Turkey in premium hotels, despite the general decline in prices. This was reported by the TourDom portal with reference to the calculations of one of the top managers of the tour operator, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
According to a representative of one of the tour operators, the average bill for a 10-day tour decreased by 12% in euro terms. At the same time, Turkish hoteliers previously gave Russian companies a discount of 20% on average. This means that tourists began to book higher-level hotels more often, despite the fall in income.
Tours to premium 5* hotels costing from $150 to $200 per room per day are primarily in demand. Such accommodation facilities are traditionally purchased for early booking. But in 2024, their share in total sales has increased, experts say.
According to tour operators, tours for 100 thousand rubles for two per week with accommodation in 3-4* hotels have become less affordable for mass tourists. Only wealthy Russians who prefer a comfortable vacation can afford to pay that kind of money.
