The Toyota Corolla Cross was presented to the General Command of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo recently and presents not only the medium crossover of the Japanese brand as an unprecedented vehicle for the corporation, but with a new visual standard for the police.
Boasting an impulse bar, the Corolla Cross proposed for the PM of São Paulo has sinuous stripes in red and part of the body color in gray and white, still having a serial number and a description of the function of the vehicle.
This vehicle also has a roof rack with warning lights, on a crystal signaling bar with blue and red LEDs.
Apparently, the vehicle is complete, meaning it has a radio-communicator and other necessary equipment for police patrolling in the state.
The vehicle is a concept car proposed by the company Actatec Automotive and more news about the project will appear in the coming days.
The Corolla Cross has not yet been used as a police car in São Paulo, but in Minas Gerais, Toyota’s SUV is already used.
In addition, some cities have the Corolla Cross as a vehicle for their Municipal Guards, as well as the Corolla is already used by corporations in various regions of the country.
The Corolla Cross is manufactured in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, made on the TNGA platform (GA-C) with 2.0 versions of 169 horsepower in gasoline and 177 horsepower in ethanol, in addition to 21.4 kgfm.
With a 10-speed CVT, this option is the most favorable as a police vehicle due to its performance, superior to that of the Hybrid version, which has a 1.8 engine with 98 horsepower and an electric motor with 72 horsepower, delivering 122 horsepower.
In São Paulo, Toyota supplies some models for the PM, such as the SW4, for example, both from the previous and the current generation, with use in the Tactical Force and also in the Route, in addition to the TOR, the Tactical Ostensive Road.
