The year 2024 has been generally successful for Seryogin, the founder of SK “Bulta” and the coach of many runners. He remained in the lead for most of the distance, but in the end he finished second overall in the Rimi Riga Marathon and became the champion of Latvia, after which he also won a gold medal in some other distances of the Latvian championship.
It is interesting that with the direct competitor of the 5km distance record Joci Seryogins had a very exciting duel in the popular trail running series “Stirnu buks” in Ventspils region last August, and in May in the hot and hilly “Stirnu buka” stage in Rēzekne region, he finished amicably together with the commentator Ivars who ran a shorter distance Uncle. Seryogins also actively helped the “Izskrien Rīga” series that reached a thousand participants in the summer, laying a course in Riga’s parks, running ahead of the little ones and also starting with the adults in the 5km distance. He also won his favorite 10km Lievenhof race in Līvani, where Nikita Bogdanovs from Daugavpils set the Latvian record in the mile.
Dmitriy got a very warm start at the end of September, when in the traditional “Limbaži Skrien” run “Around the Great Lake”, setting a new record that he inherited from the all-rounder Andrej Dmitrijev, and earning the prize money prepared by the organizers, he finished the last 30m with his daughter Elza at hands.
