Participating in the open discussion of the meeting, the speakers said, easy financing system for leather and leather industry entrepreneurs, creation of skilled and trained workforce including designers, ensuring adequate training and use of technology, establishment of footwear industrial village, establishment of modern slaughterhouse, development of conventional knives and machinery in the country and Training of butchers, establishment of common display centers for leather and leather products, provision of short diploma courses and higher education in leather technology, payment of dues to hide and skin traders, taking effective initiatives to obtain environmental clearance for Savar Leather Industry City, National Leather Industry Management Act Representation of all stakeholders in the sector should be ensured in the committee.
