The last 32 stage of the Spanish King’s Cup started tonight (Tuesday) and we have already received two Cinderellas. The humble Linars, from the third division, stunned Deportivo Alabs from the senior division and defeated them 1: 2. Alciano, who last season ousted Real Madrid, beat Levante 3-1 at the end of 120 minutes on penalties.

Liners – Deportivo Alavés 1: 2

The Cinderella of the Cup comes from the third division. The humble Linars took the lead in the 19th minute from a goal by John Atchaniz and led 0: 1 at the break. Mamado Silla equalized for Alabs, but in the 73rd minute it was Nando Copta who set up a 1: 2 win for the locals and sent them to the round of 16.

FC Andorra – Salta Vigo 2: 1

When Jose Fontan put the Galicians ahead after 14 minutes, no one in Vigo expected a long evening to await Salta. In the 39th minute, Adriya Villanova equalized to 1: 1 and Salta was unable to decide the game, which was dragged to extra time after 90 minutes. In the 118th minute, when Andorra was already dreaming of a splash, Santi Mina arrived and made it 1: 2 and sent his team to the next stage.

Valencia – Espanyol 2: 1

The Catalans avoided great embarrassment and survived a drama en route to the quarter-finals. Already after six minutes Freddie Solda raised the host to a surprising advantage that lasted until the break. With the opening of the second half Wu Lei, the Chinese striker, equalized to 1: 1. In the 83rd minute, Sergei Gomes came in to play. Three minutes on the pitch was enough for him and in the 86th minute he gave a makeover and 1: 2 to Espanyol.

Alcoiano – Levante 3: 3 (1: 3 on penalties)

The lightning strikes twice in a row. After last season stunned Europe and knocked out Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, the humble Alciano from the center of the third division table once again caused a sensation in the cup. This time Levante, who experienced a shocking season and was last placed in La Liga, was the victim. Murad El Gazuani scored a double in the first half (5, 44) and despite a temporary equalizer from Danny Gomes (23) Alcoiano led 1: 2 at the break.
