Traffic arrangements for the Tel Aviv Marathon: These are the streets that will be blocked

In preparation for the Tel Aviv Marathon to be held (Friday) between 5:30 and 13:00, the police are preparing and publishing the full traffic arrangements. The streets in the race track will be closed to vehicular traffic, including the intersecting and leading streets, from 03:00 to 14:00.

These are the streets that will be blocked

Blocked streets:

  • Northern area: Glilot Junction, 2040, Levy Eshkol, SY Agnon.
  • Eastern area: vehicles from Begin / Namir will not be allowed to travel west on the following streets: Bnei Ephraim, Sderot Rokach, Pinkas, Arlozorov, Kaplan, the train.
  • Western Area: Vehicles will not be allowed at all on the Herbert Samuel, Kaufman Coastal Axis.
  • Southern area: Vehicles will not be allowed to travel from south to north on the following routes: Sderot Yerushalayim from Ben Zvi, Elifelet from Kibbutz Galuyot, Kaufman / Hayarkon from Eilat Street, Herzl from Derech Jaffa Street, Allenby from Menachem Begin.

Blockages on Namir / Menachem Begin Road / Road 20 (Ayalon lanes):

  • Road 20 (Ayalon lanes) will allow travel throughout the race to the north and south. No entry and exit will be allowed at the following interchanges:
    A pharmacist interchange heading north and south will be closed to vehicular traffic from 04:00 until 14:00.
    The Fair Center Interchange heading north will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
    There may be blockages of the ascents to the Shalom interchange according to traffic loads.
  • Namir Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 07:30 until 10:30 between Glilot Junction and Shlomo Goren (Halacha) in both directions.

These are police guidelines for the public

  1. Vehicles should be avoided on roads and blocked streets.
  2. Hinge blockages will be marked on the day of the event in the Waze app. Drivers are advised to update accordingly.
  3. Classes will be held in schools and kindergartens. Due to the blockages, there may be difficulties in reaching most of the educational institutions in the city of Tel Aviv, and preparations must be made accordingly.

Instructions for marathon participants and spectators in the Ganei Yehoshua complex:

  • It is recommended to arrive at the event complex at Israel Railways, the university station.
  • No weapons will be allowed into the incident compound.
  • Bicycles / electric bicycles will not be allowed in the event complex, not even on the race track.

The public of participants and the audience expected to arrive at the event complex are asked to use the parking lots as detailed below:

  • Bnei Brak industrial area on Hayarkon Street.
  • Ramat Gan Stadium parking lot on Six Days Street.
  • The parking lot of the industrial area, next to the mother of the colonies.
  • Kiryat Shaul civilian + military parking lot, in Moshe Sneh / Bnei Ephraim in Tel Aviv.
  • Parking lots on Habarzel / Raoul Wallenberg Street.
  • Hadar Yosef Athletics Stadium parking lots on Sheetrit Street.
  • Rafidim parking lot on Rafidim Street.
  • The fairgrounds parking lots (where access will be allowed until 06:00) on Isaac Ramba Street in Tel Aviv.
  • Smallers parking lots, cypresses, property and social sciences, on George Weiss Street in Tel Aviv.
  • Arlozorov train parking lot, at a crossroads.
