Traffic has been changed on major roads in Chennai today as Ganesha idols are taken in a procession to be dissolved in the sea. According to this, permission has been given only for fishing in the sea at Pattinambakkam, Srinivasapuram, Neelangarai, Balakalai Nagar, Kasimedu Fishing Harbor and Tiruvottiyur Popular Weighing Platform behind the Chennai Metropolitan Police.
There is a possibility of traffic congestion as Ganesha idols to be dissolved in the sea at these four places are brought in procession in vehicles. It has been announced that the traffic has been changed.
EVR Road, Harrington Road, 100 Foot Road, Arcot Road, Kodambakkam Road, Valluvar Kottam Highway, Nungambakkam Road, Nelson Manickam Road, Kamarajar Road, RK Road, Ennore Express Road, Thandaiyarpettai in Chennai Metropolis today from 12 PM to 8 PM. Highway, Anna Road, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road and some major roads have been diverted. Therefore, the transport department has requested motorists to plan their journey according to the above roads.
