Deaths on US roads due to traffic accidents in 2002 remain practically stable with respect to the data for 2021, according to estimates by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The provisional balance published by the US body shows that 42,795 people died in motor vehicle accidents. Just a 0.3% reduction compared to 2021, when 42,939 deaths were registered.
