Abu Dhabi; Traffic fines have been waived in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Police said that if the fine is paid within 60 days of the violation, a 35 percent discount will be given. Police also informed that if paid within one year, 25 percent discount will be given.
Fines can be paid through the Abu Dhabi government’s Tham digital channel, the police’s customer service platform and the mobile app of five banks in the UAE. Credit card holders of these banks will also be able to pay the penalty in installments. This facility is available in banks like Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank. 25% discount for those paying within one year after 60 days.
The police requested to take advantage of this benefit to make the traffic file flawless. The traffic and patrol department informed that the payment can be made online through the police website, smart app and tam app and directly at the customer service centers. There is also facility to pay the fine in interest-free installments for those who do not have cash in hand. No service charge will be charged if fine is paid by credit card. Police is conducting an awareness campaign about the exemptions in person and through social media.
