Traffic is intense at some border points with Romania, Serbia and Turkey, reported the Main Directorate of the Border Police (GDP) on its website. The information is at 6 o’clock this morning, BTA reported.

On the border with Romania, the traffic is intense at the “Kardam” checkpoint and the “Durankulak” checkpoint at the exit for trucks.

Due to the major repair of the Bulgarian section of the Danube bridge near Ruse, a temporary organization of traffic has been introduced, with the traffic being carried out in one lane with a through mode and regulated by a traffic light system. In addition to Ruse border crossing, drivers in the region can also go to Silistra border crossing, Kardam border crossing, Durankulak border crossing, Kaynardzha border crossing and Krushari border crossing. The last two are open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., trucks are not allowed through them.

Every Friday from 16:00 to 22:00, the Romanian authorities do not allow trucks through the Durankulak checkpoint in both directions; on Saturdays, Sundays, pre-holidays and public holidays, the limit is from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

On the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints.

On the border with the Republic of Serbia, the traffic is intense at the Kalotina checkpoint at the entrance for cars. On the border with the Republic of North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints.

On the border with the Republic of Turkey, the traffic is intense at the “Captain Andreevo” checkpoint at the entrance and exit for cars.
